Membership Requirements
Founded in 2003, and affiliating with Federated Garden Clubs of MD, Inc. and National Garden Clubs in 2004, Oxford Garden Club has been, since inception, an active and vibrant group.
We meet the first Thursday of every month. A business meeting begins at 12:30, followed by light refreshments and a short break, with a program beginning at 2 pm, running generally until roughly 3 pm. We don’t have meetings December, when we have a Christmas party, or in June, when a garden luncheon replaces the meeting, or in July and August.
Our Objectives Are…
- To promote knowledge of flowers and the art of flower arrangement.
- To promote knowledge of gardening and landscape design.
- To promote knowledge of sustainable, environmentally friendly garden practices.
- To participate in civic activities as a club.
- To enhance the beauty and features of Oxford, MD.
- To actively support all forms of environmental conservation.
